Behind the waterfall

I've been hunting fire giants for the last few days. They occupy two parts of the dungeon behind the waterfall east of the Gnome Stronghold. They are rumored to carry dragon spears and medium helmets, but all giants that I have "interrogated" until now know nothing about dragon items. Some giants carry rune items, but most only have a few herbs or coins on them. On the bright side; I have been able to practice my ranging skills using my bow and arrows :-)

Loop de loop

Went to see Santa yesterday and told him I've been good the last year (and of course I have been.) I got a yo-yo as present, woohoo! Haven't played with a yo-yo for a long time, so I'll have to practice a bit before a nice loop-de-loop or walk-the-dog move can be shown :-)

Santaclaus is seen

There is a rumour going around that Santaclaus is in runescape. While walking over the Ardougne marketplace I have already seen flashes of red in the corner of my eye and heard pieces of 'Ho Ho Ho'.
I think I'll look him up on christmass eve and see if he has a present for me too :-)

Mysterious old maze

I met the mysterious old man before today on many occasions. When you expect it least, he uses to pop up and greet me. After a few words he would either present a small tidbit or leave a strange kind of rotating box. Today however, as I was about to persuade a druid to give me some herb, he said "you will do" and before I could blink I found myself in a strange surroundings.

There were walls and there were not; the bricks seemed to hang in mid air. Together they made up walls, corridors, a maze! The corridors were linked with iron gates. A voice reminding the time left to get to the center of the maze hung in the air. Also in some corridors stood chests, I assume they are there to try and keep the innocents from their goal in the centre. When I got there and touched the rotating stone I found myself back where I started and got smacked by the druid.

I found I had some coins and arrows in my backpack that were not there before...

Imps and sheep

The effects of dwarven stout must remain with me longer than normal. Yesterday I saw a white talking bunny on my way to the fishing guild, and today it's sheep and imps walking on the docks. They even talked and tried to fish like the rest of us. It was clear to me that I wasn't seeing straight though; while fishing they seemed smeared out a bit leaving a streak of color behind them where I'm sure they don't extend. Time for some rest and a visit to doctor Orbon I would say...

A talking bunny?

After I drank alot of dwarven stout (boy that stuff tastes foul!) to help me through the task of making arrowheads, I walked north to get feathers. While I walked over the green grass and under the trees I saw a white bunny hopping along. I couldn't remember seeing bunnies in these surroundings but there one was! To my surprice the bunny started talking to me! Next time I must remember to sober up before I go for a long walk, or maybe take a potion or two to counteract the effects of too much dwarven stout.

Coal and spice

Oh how time flies! I have been busy with chores in and round the house so much lately that I haven't been abe to go adventuring. As I need to become a better smith, I mined some ores today and have been getting coal for them in the Ardougne mine. I walk from the bank to the rocks and I knick some spice from the marketstall and leave it on the floor near the mine. It seems that spice draws the bears in although I haven't seen one eating from it yet...

Sharks and chocolate

Decided to go and cook some raw sharks I had left. I find the lost city of Zanaris a nice place to do cooking, the fairies are always so nice to the visitors of their city. So I donned my apron, cooking gauntlets and chef's hat, dusted off my dramen staff and headed for the secret entrance to Zanaris. After I got my boots cleaned from the swamp mud I walked around enjoying the scenery. After a while I got around to do the cooking I came for, the range is secluded - set in the rockface - and while you are doing your cooking at your right is a table where you can find some chocolate. I always have to be carefull not to upset my stomach when I'm down there :-)

Hanging around Ardougne

Spent most of the day hanging in and near Ardougne. I still cannot make the arrows I want to make, so I mined more coal to smelt my ores. Also spent some time at the furnace helping others with their rings and amulets. The guards keep looking funny at me everytime I walk past the market stalls, next time I'll ask them what they want :-)

Troll parrot stew

I helped Sanfew today. He sent me to the trolls to obtain some herb he needed for a ritual. Along the way I got help from the guy I rescued from the troll prison earlier, Eadgar. He proposed to built a scarecrow to fool the trolls and so I went and got the items he needed to built it. After the troll cook told me what I wanted to know it dawned on me... I just let the ugly troll throw a drunken but life parrot into the stew! Poor thing. I'm happy to have helped Sanfew, but next time I'll have to think plans others prosose to me through better so that things like this don't happen again. Bugger!

Beer and puzzles

I was wondering about the game rooms that the prince of Burthorpe opened last month. It is known that the prince likes both games and puzzles. Now I am not always in the mood to play a boardgame, but I like the ambiance of the game rooms. Wouldn't it be nice if a few tables in the room would be equipped with some of the puzzleboxes you hear alot about lately so that I can sit down with a nice beer and solve a few puzzles at the same time?
